We Need to Address the Chic Epidemic.

Can I be honest? I don't like the Chic-nification of everything.

It all started with taste, then it turned into a capitalist marketing machine very quickly. People who have wired earphones are chic, so chic to be having matcha latte etc... It gets to a point.

Women are Making Tech Fun Again

Yesterday, I was introduced to the world of Cyberdeck when this specific video showed up in my FYP:

Cyberdeck is a custom-built, portable personal computer, often one designed for a particular individualized purpose and usually with a cyberpunk aesthetic. The term is a shortened form of "cyberspace deck", which first appeared in William Gibson's 1984 novel Neuromancer. It has become shorthand across multiple forms of cyberpunk media for a personal mobile computing device used to enter cyberspace in some form or fashion.

Still in My Smallville High: Thoughts about the show

Hi readers!

I'm still high from the Smallville craze. For a series that lasted for 10 years with 22 episodes each runs 40 minutes, I have so many thoughts from this show, the good and the bad! If you are someone who is looking for a show that captures the early 2000s nostalgia, this is it!

If you told me years ago that I will be obsessed with Superman, I would've laughed at your face. Because what do you mean me, a girl who wears pink would be include superhero on her list? My "obsession" initially started with Superman (2025) movie and to be honest, those Christopher Reeves and Tom Welling edits I see on Tiktok was one of the reason too why I started watching Smallville.

Note: Contains Spoilers.

Skip if you don't want to be spoiled

1. The Songs from this show is GOLD.

As soon as I heard Wherever You Will Go on Episode 2, that's when I knew I'm in for the ride. As someone who was born in the 2000s, I gasp everytime I hear the songs I used to hear and love when I was young!

Why You Should Start a Blog

Can I just say that I love the rise of blogging this year? This was definitely what I've missed when I was 14! I remember moving across Blogspot and Tumblr in 9th grade but I ended up not sticking with it because there wasn't really a community of girlbloggers. Most of the bloggers that I used to follow were too old for me and I always get intimidated because they have their own domain name whilst I'm enjoying the free subdomain of the hosting platform lol!

I was just a girl who simply wants to blog as a creative outlet.

So here are the reasons why you should start blogging:

1. You have your own space on the internet

The problem with social media nowadays is that content are being pushed to our feed all the time. The beauty in blogging is very intentional. There is no algorithm pushing content in your face unless you subscribe or follow into it. You get to decide which blog post you want to click and visit. Having and reading blogs will reprograms our mind that we (humans) are the one who get to decide how to use the internet, and not fall into the rabbit hole brought to us by the algorithm.
